Streamer Onboarding

Early Access — Whitelist Only

Streaming is currently available to a limited group of whitelisted streamers while we work out any remaining bugs. It will be opened to all players in the near future. Stay tuned for announcements!

Welcome to Etherscape streaming! This guide covers everything you need to get started as an Etherscape streamer on Twitch.

Getting Started

Before you can stream with Etherscape features enabled, you need to link your Twitch account in-game. See the Twitch Linking guide for step-by-step instructions.

2. Go Live

Once your account is linked, simply start streaming on Twitch. Etherscape will automatically detect that you're live and enable the Streamer HUD.

Chat Bot

When you link your Twitch account, you also authorize the Etherscape chat bot to post announcements in your channel (such as reward drop notifications). This is handled automatically — no additional setup is needed. This chat integration can be disabled from the Twitch settings.

Streamer Features

Stream Power

While you're live, you generate Stream Power by gaining XP — a charge that builds over time based on stream engagement. When the charge is full, you can trigger a Reward Drop that gives loot to viewers watching your stream.

Reward Drops

Reward Drops let you share loot with your Twitch community:

  • Pick a drop from 3 options when your stream goes live (this is persistant until the drop is completed)
  • Stream Power charges up while you're live and gaining XP with viewers
  • Viewers who are playing Etherscape and watching your stream are eligible to receive the drop
  • The Etherscape bot announces the drop in your Twitch chat so viewers know to check in-game
  • Viewers type a randomized !command into chat to join the loot drop (they must also have a linked twitch account in game)
  • The winning viewers get the drop and the streamer also gets a resonance and enjinite reward

Soul Group

Your Twitch viewers appear in-game as a Soul Group — a cluster of floating orbs that follow your character around. The soul group grows in size as more viewers watch your stream, giving a visual representation of your community. Other players can click on your soul group to open your Twitch stream directly.

Channel Point Redeems

Your viewers can spend their Twitch channel points to trigger in-game effects. These redeems are visually performed by your Soul Group — for example, Soul Healing fires a healing laser from the group to your character, and Retaliate launches homing projectiles from the group at nearby enemies. More powerful redeems are unlocked by holding more Resonant Shards.

Troubleshooting

Issue Solution
Bot messages not appearing in chat Try unlinking and re-linking your Twitch account in the Stream window
Stream features not activating Verify your Twitch account is linked in the Stream window
Viewers not receiving drops Viewers must have their Twitch account linked in Etherscape, be watching your stream and enter the correct !command at the correct time

FAQ

Does the bot read my chat or collect viewer data?

: No. The Etherscape bot only posts game-related announcements like reward drop notifications. It does not read, log, or moderate chat messages except for !command messages to determine viewer eligibility for drops.

Do my viewers need to own the game to get drops?

: Viewers need to have an Etherscape account with their Twitch account linked to be eligible for reward drops. They do not need to be actively playing during the drop.
