Streaming & Content Creation Policy

Authorization to Stream and Create Content

The Etherscape development team ("we," "us," or "the team") grants all users a non-exclusive, revocable license to stream, broadcast, and record gameplay footage from Etherscape ("the Game"), including but not limited to in-game images, video, music, and sound effects.

Permitted Uses

The following uses of Etherscape gameplay content are expressly authorized:

  • Live streaming of gameplay on platforms including, but not limited to, Twitch, YouTube, and similar services
  • Recording and publishing gameplay videos on video-sharing platforms
  • Monetization of streams and videos through platform-native features (e.g., subscriptions, advertisements, channel points)
  • Participation in the Etherscape Stream Rewards system, which provides automated, publicly documented rewards to streamers and viewers

Restrictions

The following uses of Etherscape content are not authorized:

  • Incorporation of captured game content into projects unrelated to Etherscape, including but not limited to use in other games, applications, or commercial products
  • Redistribution of game assets (art, audio, code) outside the context of gameplay streams or videos
  • Misrepresentation of affiliation with or endorsement by the Etherscape development team, unless a formal partnership has been established in writing

Stream Rewards Disclosure

Etherscape operates an automated Stream Rewards system that provides in-game rewards to both streamers and viewers during live broadcasts. This system is:

  • Public and automated — available to all players who link their Twitch account
  • Fully documented — system rules and reward structures are published on this wiki
  • Non-discriminatory — all eligible participants receive rewards under the same terms

As this system operates uniformly and transparently for all participants, individual streamers are not required to provide sponsorship disclosures solely for receiving Stream Rewards. However, streamers who enter into separate, private promotional agreements with the Etherscape team must disclose such arrangements in accordance with applicable regulations (e.g., FTC Endorsement Guides).

Revocation

This authorization may be revoked at our sole discretion in cases of misuse, violation of this policy, or breach of the Community Conduct Policy.

Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update this policy at any time. Continued use of Etherscape content for streaming or video production constitutes acceptance of the most current version of this policy.
