Nightfall (0.34)¶
Version 0.34.1.1 - October 12, 2026
The Haunted return with treasure, tricks, and new threats. Nightfall brings Haunted Chests, Trick or Treat Bags, seasonal pets and cosmetics, and a new emote wheel. This release also prepares the Multiverse Earth season, expands the Haunted boss lineup, and increases boss health and rewards.

Nightfall Event¶
Nightfall is scheduled to run from October 13, 2026 at 00:00 UTC until November 15, 2026 at 00:00 UTC.
- Haunted Chests can appear throughout ordinary quest maps, with the highest concentration in the Cemetery maps opened by Haunted Keys.
- Chests can contain treasure, trigger Haunted ambushes, grant blessings, or inflict curses. Some require Lockpicking to open.
- Haunted curses last 10 minutes. The new Purge Haunted Curse Potion removes them early and can be crafted with Alchemy 35.
- Reaper enemies and Haunted Spider variants, including Spider Mothers, join the Haunted faction.
- Cemetery quests can now end with Reaper of Souls or Web Matron, alongside Shrok.
- Halloween town returns with the Cemetery's fog and atmospheric lighting.
Trick or Treat Bags¶
- Every loot-bearing Haunted Chest grants a Trick or Treat Bag. Haunted bosses and Legendary Haunted elites can also drop bags.
- Bag rarity scales with quest level. Bags can reward Haunted Essence, Haunted Keys, Purge Haunted Curse Potions, Gold, salvage resources, equipment, and Enjinite.
- Equipment rewards can roll up to the bag's rarity, but the equipment's level remains capped at 10.
- Enjinite from Trick or Treat Bags does not consume your daily Enjinite allowance. The global weekly claim limit still applies.
Bone Effigies and Seasonal Rewards¶
Bone Effigies can be purchased or crafted, then spent at the Etherforge to receive a random seasonal reward.

- Players can craft up to five Bone Effigies during the event. The base recipe costs 250 Haunted Essence, 100,000 Gold, 100 Legendary Infusions, 25 Spirit Shards, and 10 Gems, with costs increasing after each craft.
- Minting a random reward consumes one Bone Effigy, plus 100 Haunted Essence, 250,000 Gold, 10 Legendary Infusions, and 10 Spirit Shards.
- Each Gothic weapon can be upgraded to its Elite Gothic version using the original weapon, 500 Haunted Essence, 250 Legendary Infusions, 100 Spirit Shards, and 5,000,000 Gold.
Haunted Potion Recipes¶
The Haunted Essence boost potion recipes have been revised:

The two Haunted Boost recipes no longer require Gold.
Emote Wheel¶
Express yourself with the new radial emote wheel and emote inventory.
- Equip up to eight emotes for quick access.
- Every player starts with Salute, Yes, No, Point, Dance, Clap, Witness, and Flex.
- Emotes can combine character animations, dialogue icons, particle effects, sounds, and nearby chat messages.
- Holding a Bat Flurry Token unlocks the seasonal Bat Flurry emote.
Multiverse Earth Season¶
The Essence of Elements: Earth season is scheduled for October 13, 2026 at 15:00 UTC through December 18, 2026 at 00:00 UTC. It spans Nightfall and the upcoming Frozen Blight winter event.
Complete Earth Multiverse achievements to earn Terra Essence. Collecting in-game Earth Essence from the Haunted and Frozen Blight factions is one way to advance these achievements.

- Link a self-custody wallet to claim Terra Essence and track your progress on the Multiverse Portal.
- Seasonal rewards include Enjin-infused Blobs, chances at Multiverse items, and a chance at a unique Degen.
- Added a six-page Earth season help guide, available in Help and shown automatically on the first eligible login during the season.
- The completed Wind Multiverse achievement category is now hidden, with Earth featured at the top of the achievement window.
Boss Balance and Loot¶
- All bosses have 50% more health, and their loot-roll multiplier has increased by 50%.
- Additional loot rolls improve reward opportunities rather than directly adding 50% to each item's rarity chance. Boss equipment drops still retain the best 20 rolls, so the increase does not guarantee 50% more visible equipment.
- Fixed reward-generation paths that could create equipment above level 10, including equipment inside Trick or Treat Bags.
Twitch Rewards¶
- Haunted Keys join Twitch drop pools while Nightfall is active.
- Bone Effigies join eligible Twitch token drops, subject to remaining reward supply.
- Added 15 more ChainSpirit token variants, expanding the supported lineup from 5 to 20.
Fixes and Presentation¶
- The Pets and Skins inventory tabs now filter Etherbound and Metaverse items to the relevant selections.
- NPC buffs and Haunted blessings and curses are restored after character reloads, retaining their original expiration times.
- Optimized shadow and lighting updates, including skipping distant shadows and inactive lights.
