Wallet Linking

Linking wallets to your account allows you to interact with the blockchain features of the game. This guide will take you through the process...

Managed Wallet Linking

When you create an account you will automatically be provisioned with a managed wallet. This wallet is managed by the game automatically and allows you to interact with game features such as minting items at the Etherforge or earning on chain rewards. It is convenient because you don't need to download a wallet app or understand how to use blockchain in any ways. However, there are a few features that are not accessible when using the managed wallet:

  • Listing or purchasing NFT items using the NFT.io marketplace.

  • Transferring NFT item between wallets

  • Limitted support for trading currencies

Self-custody Linking

linking a self-custody wallet will give you full control over your NFT items and allow you to interface fully with every blockchain feature of the game. Follow these steps in order to complete the linking...

1: Create a Wallet

If you don't have one already, create an Enjin Wallet. You can download it for iPhone or Android on their respective app stores.

When you create a wallet you will get an Matrixchain and Relaychain address. The Matrixchain address is the on you will use for NFTs and games. The Relaychain address is used for transferring ENJ with exchanges and for staking. You can "teleport" you ENJ between the Matrixchain and Relaychain addresses easily and quickly in the Enjin Wallet app.

2: Open the Wallet Window

Log into Etherscape and open up the wallet window in game. This can be done by clicking the "$" icon at the top of the screen or by pushing the "B" hotkey.

3: Select Add Wallet

Select the add wallet button:

When you do this, there will be a prompt with a QR code for you to scan:

4: Scan with Enjin Wallet

Open up the Enjin Wallet app on your iOS or Android device. In the top right corner select the scan QR button...

After you scan the QR code you will be prompted for a signature request in the wallet. Accept it.

Then, select the wallet you want to use in game...

You can wait for the game to detect the signature or you can press the refresh button to get it to sync it right away.

Once the game validates the signature, your wallet it will be linked to your account and you will see your tokens show up in game

Primary Wallet

You can select one of your linked wallets as your "Primary". You can change which wallet is primary at any time that you want by clicking the "Set Primary" button. Your current primary wallet is displayed with a small green dot next to it.

Your primary wallet is the one that will be used for minting items to and paying any related token burn or transfer fees. In most cases, you will want to select the self-custody wallet that has most of your tokens in it as your primary.

Other Details

Below are some additional details to keep in mind related to wallet linking...

  • Wallets can only be linked to a different account every 7 days. This is to prevent abuse by passing wallets between players

  • By default you can only link 1 self custody wallet. However, if you hold enough imperials sovereigns you can unlock slots to link more wallets. There is not benefit from spreading your tokens across wallets. The multiple wallet support is just for convenience if people prefer to use more than 1.
