Cheating Policy

By playing Etherscape, you agree to abide by the rules and policies of the game. You acknowledge that altering the game in any way, exploiting any bugs or glitches in the game or taking any other action to gain an unfair advantage is a violation of the terms of service and may result in severe penalties. You also agree to report any bugs or glitches that you encounter to the Etherscape team through the appropriate channels.

The following activities are examples of behaviors that are considered cheating (but not an exhaustive list)...

  • Altering the game client in any way (such as to provide an unfair advantage over other players).

  • Exploiting a bug or glitch in the game for any purpose.

  • Using bots or any kind of automation to play the game for you.

  • Having multiple accounts (only 1 account per human player is allowed).

  • Having multiple people share an account (only 1 human player per account is allowed).

Etherscape has a zero-tolerance policy for players who cheat to gain an unfair advantage. The consequences for cheating depend on the severity of the advantage gained. The consequences for each category are as follows:

  • Critical: Player account is banned. Tokens in wallet are frozen. If ENJ is not returned, legal prosecution is pursued.

  • High: Player account is banned. Tokens in wallet are frozen.

  • Medium: Player account is suspended for 7-30 days. Items obtained through the exploit are removed.

Having your account banned and wallet frozen my result in a personal financial loss due to the items held in the account or the tokens frozen in the wallet. The Etherscape team is not responsible for this loss and is not liable for it. By playing the Etherscape, you accept this risk and by cheating you forfeit any value you had accumulated relevant to your account or wallet.

Etherscape has a bounty program that rewards players who report impactful bugs that affect the game ecosystem. Impactful bugs are classified into three categories: critical, high, and medium, based on the potential damage they can cause. The Etherscape team reserves the right to determine the severity of any bug reported. The bounty reward for each category is as follows:

  • Critical: 1000 ENJ

  • High: 10000 Unbound Gems

  • Medium: 2000 Unbound Gems

To be eligible for the bounty reward, you must:

  • Be the first to report the bug by sending a direct message to @SamTheBay on Discord.

  • Provide enough information for the development team to reproduce the bug in game. Either detailed steps or a video showing it occurring.

  • Not disclose the bug to anyone else until it is fixed by the Etherscape team.

The Etherscape team monitors the game logs and transactions to detect any suspicious activity or anomalies. If you are found to be cheating or exploiting any bugs in the game, you will face the appropriate consequences. You will also forfeit any bounty reward that you may have otherwise received for reporting the bug.

By playing Etherscape, you agree to respect the game and its community. You understand that cheating is not only unfair, but also illegal. You accept the responsibility for your actions and the consequences that may follow. You also agree to cooperate with the Etherscape team in resolving any issues or disputes that may arise from your participation in the game.
